Karela (Bitter Gourd)
1 cup
Sliced Potatoes
3/4 cup
Thick Sliced Onion
6 Pcs.
Garlic Cloves
0 As per taste
Salt
4 tbsp
Oil
1 1/2 tbsp
Pickle Masala
1 tbsp
Red Chili Powder
1 tbsp
Turmeric powder
1 tbsp
Jaggery
1 tsp
Mustard seeds
Achari Aloo Karela
  1. In a boiling Water add 1 tbsp. salt and sliced karela. Boil it for 2 minutes.
  2. Strain Excessive water from karela.
  3. In a pan add oil, muster seeds and garlic cloves.
  4. Let the muster seeds crackled after that add onions.
  5. Saute it for 1 minute only and add karela, potato chips, salt, pickle masala, red chili powder and turmeric powder. Mix it well and cover it with lead.
  6. Lower the heat and cook it until potatoes are tender. After that add jaggery and turn of the flame.
  7. Serve it With with flatbread or rice.
