Okra ( ladies' fingers )
1 cup
Finely chopped onion
3 tbsp
Ginger-Garlic-Chilli paste
3/4 cup
Fnely chopped tomatos
6 tbsp
0 As per taste
1 tbsp
Cumin seeds
1 tbsp
Mustard seeds
1 1/2 tbsp
Red Chili Powder
1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder
1 tsp
Garam masala
1 tbsp
Cumin Coriander Powder
Bhindi Masala
  1. Wash 500 grams fresh okra with cool, clear tap water. Drain well. Using a sharp paring knife, cut off the stems.
  2. Make a small cut in a middle of each okra.
  3. In a non-stick pan add okra, 2 tbsp oil and 1/2 tsp salt.
  4. Saute it for 10-15 minutes on a slow flame.
  5. In a pan add oil, mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
  6. After that add finely chopped onion and saute it.
  7. Now, add ginger-garlic-chili paste and mix it.
  8. Add tomato, red chili powder, cumin coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt and garam masala.
  9. Cook it for 2-3 minutes.
  10. Add okra and mix it well.
  11. Cover the lead and cook it for 4-5 minutes. Serve it hot with your favorite Indian bread.
