Watermelon Seeds (magajtari)

Small Cinnamon Stick

Khoya (mawa)
1 tbsp
Garam masala
1 1/2 Cups
Water
5 tbsp
Oil
0 As per taste
Salt
1 tbsp
Red Chili Powder
1 tsp
Turmeric powder

  1. In a cup Add 1 cup warm milk, half cup cashew and half cup watermelon seeds. Soak it for half an hour.
  2. Meanwhile in a pan add white pepper, bay leaves, cloves, cardamom and cinnamon stick and dry roast it for around 1 minute.
  3. Take onion, green chili, garlic and ginger in a mixture. Make a smooth paste of it. (Add little bit of water if required.)
  4. In another mixture jar add soaked cashew and watermelon seeds (Drain excessive milk and keep it aside.) and roasted raw masala. mix it till smooth paste.
  5. Take 1 tbsp oil and roast half cup cashew. and keep it aside.
  6. Check all the necessary things before final Tadka.
  7. In a pan add oil, and saute onion paste for 2 minutes on slow flame.
  8. Add cashew nut paste and mix it.
  9. After 2 minutes add garam masala, salt and water mix it well.
  10. After that add khoya, roasted cashew and mix it.
  11. Add red chili powder and turmeric powder (Both are optional).
  12. Add 1 cup water and Mix it well, cook it for 10 minutes.
  13. Turn of the gas. garnish it with fried cashew nut. Serve it hot with your favorite flat bread.
