Gundar Pak (Winter Special)

This Recipe is winter  special recipe. As edible gum is considered a warming food and is best taken during winters, it is especially useful for people living in very cold places.  It is most popularly known to treat weakness and male fertility issues. Edible gum is also very useful for women after pregnancy.

  1. Make a powder of Almond, Dry coconut, Poppy seeds, Edible gum. Keep it aside in a bowl(keep all that powder separately).
  2. In another bowl take warm milk and sugar granules.
  3. In a pan add Clarified butter / ghee and let it melt.
  4. Now, Add edible gum. and stir it for 1-1.5 minutes (or until gum is pink). If it becomes lumpy don't worry it will melt when you add milk and boil it.
  5. Now, Add warm milk into the mixture of ghee and gum. stir it continuously until it becomes thick mixture. (When you add milk it will become frothy , it's normal).
  6. After that add sugar granules and stir it for at least 5 minutes on a slow flame.
  7. At last add pepper maul powder, dry ginger powder, and cardamom powder and 1 tbsp ghee(optional). and turn of the gas.
  8. After 4 hours keep this in a freeze. you can store it for 15 days. when you want to eat microwave it for 20 sec , Garnish it with dry fruit and serve it.
